The book of the month for November 2024 is Already Enough: A Path to Self-Acceptance by Lisa Olivera — a therapist, writer, and content creator for her beautiful Instagram account.

From the book jacket: “When Lisa Olivera was just a few hours old, her birth mother abandoned her behind a rock near Muir Woods in Northern California. She was found and later adopted... In Already Enough, Lisa gets honest about [her story and] our stories and how they affect us — often more than we realize. She guides us through the brave work of reframing our stories so we can remember that we are already enough, just as we are.

With depth, humility, and expertise, Olivera helps readers contemplate and understand our stories, reframe our stories, and integrate our stories to better understand ourselves and show up with authenticity. She offers journal prompts, mindfulness strategies, personal questionnaires, and reflective activities that invite the reader to engage these ideas and put them into practice.

Olivera’s writing is vulnerable and she invites us to be vulnerable as well. We are welcomed into the journey of freeing ourselves from the constraints of old stories “to live a more whole and more meaningful life” with compassion and acceptance.
